DJ, broadcaster, writer and dreamer Zakia Sewell provides the soundtrack to your dreams - playing music to ease the mind, soothe the soul, and open portals to new dimensions…

Drift through time and space with Zakia’s swirling selections, taking you on a magical late night musical voyage. There’s spiritual jazz from Leeds group Ancient Infinity Orchestra, Brazilian tropicalia from Caetano Veloso, a wedding song from Mauritanian griot Noura Mint Seymali, rhythmic sounds from Réunion Island’s Luc Moindranzé Karioudja and pedal steel guitar from Joe Harvey-Whyte inspired by ancient stone circles. Plus brand new music from the likes of keiyaA, Yara Asmar and a collaboration between Mary Lattimore and Julianna Barwick, and old favourites from Miles Davis, Julius Eastman and Dando Shaft.

Plus we’re transported to the hazy, smoky Dreambience of London multi-instrumentalist cktrl, with a special mix of his own demos, unreleased sketches and improvisations. The name cktrl comes from ‘can’t keep to reality’, reflecting how he often makes music in a kind of dream world, and his mix is an extension of that - an invitation for the listener to sit in stillness.
